Carlo Raffaelli is an Italian Scottish tenor born in Edinburgh, Scotland he was introduced to feather by his mother who taught acting and performance at “Queen Margaret university.” He took interest into acting around the age of 20, studying with Jennifer Norton formally of the New York film academy. He also studied for six months at the “Scuola Cinema Immagina” (Florence) Developing his acting technique through the opportunity of doing short films, he then started to study singing at the age of 25.
Initially he started with a private teacher (Katia Magnani) in Florence. Later upon entering the “Conservatory of Music Luigi Cherubini” (Florence) he continued to study under the soprano Marta Taddei(2017.)
In 2020 he attends a masterclass of the renowned tenor, Francesco Meli. In this particular masterclass he is awarded by Francesco Meli a role in a concert
held at the “Teatro Carlo Felice” (Genoa) in 2022
After attending this particular masterclass he starts to study with Vittorio Terranova, with whom he continues to study to this day. Making significant progress within the year 2021. He is awarded with the prize “Iva Pacetti” (Prato) during a series of concerts for the “Nuove Voci per la Prato Lirica.”
He continues to progress through the year being awarded the prize “Giuseppe Taddei, miglior interpretazione” during the “ Concorso Lirico Internazionale Città di Genova- Premio Giuseppe Taddei”
In the December 2021 he is admitted to the young singers program at the “Teatro Comunale Pavarotti-Freni” of Modena. Where he is regarded highly by the artistic direction of the theatre. In this period he has had the opportunity to work with the likes of Mariella Devia, Barbara Frittoli, Michele Pertusi, Chris Merritt and Leone Magiera.
In august 2022 he made his debut in the summer festival of Spoleto, after being selected during the “Concorso Comunità Europea per Giovani Cantanti Lirici”
He debuted the role of “Don José” in “La tragédie de Carmen” (Bizet, Costant, Carrière, Brook)
In the same month he also debuted the role of “Alfredo Germont” in “La traviata” of Giuseppe Verdi, in the “Teatro costabianca” (Realmonte, Sicily)
